Common questions
A booking came out wrong
Open the trip, tap the booking, and use Edit — every field can be corrected by
hand, including times and gates. The parser reads confirmations well but not
perfectly, which is why nothing saves until you approve the review screen.
My gate is blank
Airlines usually assign gates a few hours before departure, so a confirmation
sent weeks earlier has none. Waypoint says "not posted yet" rather than leaving
it empty. Always confirm the gate at the airport.
Add to Apple Wallet isn't showing
That button appears only when the airline issued a real Wallet pass file
(.pkpass) and you attached it. A photo or screenshot of a pass is stored
for scanning, but Apple Wallet cannot read one. Waypoint never creates a pass
of its own.
Leave-by times look wrong
They come from your own settings, not from live traffic or flight data. Open
Traveler settings and adjust your home airport and how early you like to arrive.
I want my data out
Every trip exports as a calendar file or as JSON from the trip page. No account
needed to keep what you export.
Delete my account
Open Account → Delete account. It removes your login, trips,
bookings, uploaded passes, saved confirmations and loyalty numbers immediately.
It cannot be undone, so export anything you want first.
Before you fly
Waypoint organises what you give it. It does not track flights live.
Confirm departure times, gates and baggage rules with your airline, and give
yourself more time than any app suggests.
